Mardi-Bras is a fund-raising effort by Mammy Gram's Girls, benefiting the 2009 Weekend to End Breast Cancer! The Weekend To End Breast Cancer is a two-day 60km walk through the streets of Toronto. All proceeds support Princess Margaret Hospital and the Campbell Family Institute, funding research, support services and an eventual cure to this heartbreaking disease. Princess Margaret Hospital is one of the top five cancer centres in the world. They treat more than 200 types of cancer and are a world leader in cancer stem cell research, image-guided therapeutics, patient survivorship, breast cancer research and treatment. In 2007 Mammy Gram’s Girls raised $8,323.55 of a record breaking 17.3 million dollars! In 2008 we raised $8,281.40 of 13 million dollars and we're back to set a new record in 2009! With your continued generosity and support, we will see a cure in our lifetime. What to expect at Mardi-Bras: A fabulous night of fun benefiting the Toronto Weekend To End Breast Cancer 2009! Our glamorous models will take to the runway for a fashion show of unique and most wonderful bras created by elite artisans from all across Canada! These one-of-a-kind pieces will be silent auctioned throughout the evening along with some very generous gifts by our sponsors. There will be music, snacks, cash bar, silent auction and door prizes, and a King and Queen of Mardi Bras will be crowned at midnight!
